Administrators: How to Run Summative Reports on Teachers

Please note that once your Summative Report is finalized, no further edits to the Teacher's observations/evaluations afterwards will show up.

You must have one of the following roles:

  • Assistant School Administrator
  • School Administrator
  • District Administrator

  1. Go to TeachforTexas.org and click on the 'Login' link at the top right of the page to login to your existing account.

2. Once logged in:

a - If you are a School Administrator or Assistant School Administrator: On the site’s top menu, click 'Appraisers', then click the 'Evaluation Management' link. Then, click the 'Teacher Observations' link from the dropdown list.

b - If you are a District Administrator: On the site’s top menu click on the 'Districts' link, then click on the 'Evaluation Management' link from the dropdown menu. Then, click on the 'Teacher Observations' link.

3. Once you are on the Teacher Observations page, click on the 'Summative Report' button to the right of the person's name.

4. Once on the Summative Report page, click on the 'Start Summative Report Ratings'.

5. Confirm the Finalize Ratings page. For sections that are not greyed out, you can click the drop-down arrow to change the 'Calculated Rating' if needed.

6. Below are examples of how the 'Final Dimension Ratings for PPR' and the 'Final Overall Domain Rating for PPR' are displayed and how the ratings can be changed.

7. You will then click on the 'Next' button.

8. This will bring you to the next page where you can review (and change if needed) the Student Growth Evidence and then click on the 'Finalize Ratings' button.

9. Once submitted, you will receive a message indicating you have finalized the summative report successfully.

10. You can then click on the 'Summative Report' button and view the Summative Reports by Dimension and Domain.

11. Below are examples of how the Dimension Summary and the Domain Summary are displayed.

12. Once the report has been generated you can Print and/or Export the report to PDF.
